404.zero is an artist duo that was born out of an effort to eviscerate conventional dogmas and values.
In 2016 the two artists that make 404.zero joined together to create projects that push the meaning of clarity to the limits in the field of modern generative art.

Akiko Yamashita

Akiko Yamashita is a Japanese artist best known for projection mapping and light installations currently based in Los Angeles. Her artworks explore visual illusions with a prism-inspired full spectrum of colours. She works as a Design Director at VT Pro Design, a full service creative design studio with a focus on the latest technology and techniques in Los Angeles, California. She has a U.S. O-1B Visa which is distributed to individuals recognized for their extraordinary abilities in the arts. She is a former professional dancer and has 15 years of experience. Akiko is self-taught and started a projection mapping artists collective Mapjacks. She enjoys working with music, fashion, and architecture and providing solutions that light up the environment. Her light hallway Portal won an A’ Design Award (Silver).

Alex Guevara

Alex Guevara (b.1986)  is a digital artist born in Lima, Peru, currently living in Berlin. He works in a wide range of fields including digital art, interaction design, data visualization, generative design, interactive installations, and real-time music visualization, combining art, science, and technology to create immersive experiences and stunning landscapes. His work has been presented in international festivals and exhibitions in Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Germany, Ireland, Peru, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, and Switzerland.

Axel Mulder

Axel Mulder has been an active participant of the art and technology community for over 30 years. It all started in 1987 when he designed his own instrumented dataglove and a pink bodysuit for MIDI real-time control. With academic degrees in physics and kinesiology as well as training in music and dance he has deeply explored the many disciplines that study real-time live performance resulting in peer-reviewed papers about motion capture, virtual musical instruments, and 3D sound sculpting. Through his company, Infusion Systems Ltd., which makes and markets the I-CubeX line of products for development of interactive media, he has developed a thorough understanding of sensor technology and its application in the arts and beyond. He has engaged with many universities and companies around the world for consulting, reviewing, lecturing and teaching. His main occupation is running Infusion Systems while also holding a position as adjunct professor at McGill University.

Ben Benhorin

Ben Benhorin (b.1977) is a designer, educator, and digital artist based in Tel Aviv. He is an alumni of the Bezalel Academy's Visual Communication Department in Jerusalem and now serves as senior faculty member and head of Interactive Design Studies at the Shenkar College of Engineering & Design, Tel Aviv.

Benhorin is the founder of wuwa.org, one of the leading interactive design studios in Israel and has created several projects and initiatives that merge design, art, and technology. He serves as a consultant on major start-up companies in Israel and has worked internationally on a number of successful web projects and products, among which he won the prestigious TechCrunch Disrupt Award. He currently heads the design system team at wix.com, defining and building the design infrastructure for products used by over 150 million users. He specializes in meaningful interaction design solutions, systems thinking, and generative art installations.

Ben Voigt

A 16-year veteran with Derivative, Ben Voigt has seen TouchDesigner develop from the earliest days of version 007. He is currently engaged in software design and client production at Derivative, working as part of the R&D team. He is also integral to the shaping of TouchDesigner learning material and in teaching workshops. With a background in Computer Science at the University of Toronto, he later found his passion for visuals through film, visual effects, and games. TouchDesigner’s hybrid of art and technology and the opportunity to work with artists and engineers keeps him engaged with the TouchDesigner community wherever he goes.

Bertrand de Becque

Holding degrees in graphic art, computer, and audio/visual technologies, Bertrand De Becque (aka B2BK) chose to specialize in the fields of special effects and computer-generated imagery. After 10 years working in the animated film industry (on productions that include, Despicable Me and The Lorax), he decided to devote himself fully to his former passions: video mapping and interactive art.

Since making this shift he independently explores new possibilities offered by the latest technologies and develops innovative approaches to narration.

His commitment to developing educational programs for visual arts, his co-founding of and participation in several creative collectives, and his contribution to important Parisian museums allows him to bring his artistic and digital research achievements to the public.

Colin Hoy

Colin Hoy is a Senior Software Developer working with AV&C in New York City. Colin has implemented many large scale, multi-machine installations with various flavors of systems design, control and interactivity.


Throughout these experiences he has become a strong believer in programming conventions and standardization to aid in the interoperability across not only projects, but developers as well. He sees often overlooked data concepts such as compartmentalization, storage and routing/handling as critical factors in fostering the development of modular, reusable project architectures that are scalable and nimble in adjusting to the demands of any project.

Corey Schneider

Corey Schneider is an Australian multimedia artist and programmer, currently residing in Berlin. Schneider works on the software team at WHITEvoid where he uses TouchDesigner every day in the ongoing development of control software for kinetic light installations.

Schneider’s creative practice began with music. He studied audio engineering at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and performed often in Melbourne, initially playing drums and later experimenting with live electronic music, DJing, VJing. Eventually he began practicing in the field of technical production for independent films, audiovisual performances, and interactive installation art.

Darien Brito

Darien Brito creates pieces that combine sound and image. His creative practice is motivated and informed by computers and technology. He is equally an artist and a technician, a distinction he regards as becoming less necessary as the field of digital practice continues to evolve. Brito is fascinated by micro-sound, immersive environments, machine learning, and complexity (that is, the field that studies how systems with simple rules can create complex behaviour over time). He is interested in an experiential approach to performance, specializing in artistic occurrences that are less guided by concepts and based more on sensorial experiences. In parallel, Brito acts as a consultant on various programming languages. He builds solutions for people with great ideas but who lack the technical expertise to make them happen.

Dave & Gabe

Dave & Gabe is an interactive installation studio that unites sound, light, and tactility in the creation of  immersive experiences. They believe environments should be expressive. They encourage collaboration and the amplification of the energy within. Working as artists with various institutions and brands, they explore new directions in real-time animation, generative 3D sound, and physical design.

David Bianciardi

David Bianciardi is the founder and principal of AV&C - a globally recognized experience design studio based in New York City that creates digital landmarks in the physical world.  

AV&C’s interdisciplinary team of designers, technologists, engineers, software developers, and producers delivers software-driven experiential installations for forward-thinking clients seeking to foster deeper connections with their audiences in the built environment.  

Bianciardi began his career as a musician, composer, and a sound designer and quickly found that using software and technology to make things talk to each other was useful in creating “designed experiences” and “connected places”.  As clients started exploring their roles as storytellers and appreciating how we could help, the business came into being, along with an evolving art practice.

David Braun

David Braun is a software engineer at Leviathan. His motto is "do it real-time". He prefers flexibility in design and rapid development. For Leviathan, he has worked on numerous video walls, data visualizations, touchscreen interactives, and depth camera installations. In 2018, he was a resident artist at the Asia Culture Center in South Korea, where he collaborated with musician BAKÁH on an audio-visualization for a massive LED facade. Braun has also used TouchDesigner for pen plotter art and for developing several projects inspired by M.C. Escher.

David Tennent

Dave is the Senior Interactive Developer at BeSide Digital, a Brooklyn-based studio providing design, consulting, and R&D services at the intersection of human-machine interaction. BeSide works across numerous industries including retail, events, themed entertainment, automotive, and consumer-products to develop solutions to complex interdisciplinary technical challenges. BeSide has used TouchDesigner on dozens of large-scale deployments around the world and has developed a suite of purpose build hardware and support software to maximize it's power and stability in mission-critical applications. In his free time Dave enjoys hiking, mountain biking, video games, and teaching robots to paint.

Elburz Sorkhabi

Elburz Sorkhabi is the founder and technical director of nVoid. He is also the immersive technical director at ZERO11ZERO and one of the leading authorities on TouchDesigner.

He has worked on product launches, permanent architectural installations, and world wide tours with brands, iconic organizations, and individuals that include Google, Kanye West, Giorgio Armani, Nike, Under Armour, Netflix, the Seattle Art Museum, Verizon, TIFF, AMEX, and Cannes Lions. Elburz has led and deployed teams across the world in major cities such as Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Toronto, Montreal, Shanghai, Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, Dubai, and Paris. He has lectured publicly and privately at leading institutions including Yale University, Society for Arts and Technology, and the International Space University.

Emrah Yayici

Emrah Yayici is the managing partner of ArtBizTech innovation consultancy and UXservices design companies. He is also the chairman of bang.prix which is a non-profit organization that supports young people from various disciplines such as fine arts, engineering, design and genetics who combine science and technology with artistic perspectives. Emrah is also the author of Design Thinking Methodology and Artful Thinking books that are published on Amazon.com.

Esra Özkan

Esra Ozkan is the director and curator of bang. Art Innovation Prix by ArtBizTech. She has played an active role in various units at art galleries and museums and has taken part in many local and foreign exhibitions both as a curator and director since 2011. Currently, she is focused on research that draws technology, art, and science together on philosophical grounds, within the context of digital art.

Eugene Afonin

Eugene (Evgeniy) Afonin (b. 1983) was born in Moscow. He has worked with video art since 2003, performing as a VJ at clubs and festival venues. Since 2008 Afonin has worked in the field of digital art and new multimedia technologies, interactive design, generative systems, and natural human-computer interaction. His work focuses on designing and constructing immersive interactive environments, as well as kinematic models and specialized object-control software.

He co-founded the Moscow-based creative company Russian Visual Artists. Since departing from RVA in 2012, he became the co-curator of Curiosity Media Laboratory and has worked on more than a dozen theatrical productions as a video and media artist, in gallery exhibitions as well as on commercial projects.

Gil Castro

Gil Castro is the co-founder of INTUS, where he directs, develops, and designs interactive experiences for commercial and artistic projects. INTUS is a company based in Mexico City with more than 300 projects in its portfolio.


With a background in audiovisual arts and communication studies, he later found his passion in interactive technologies. With more than nine years of experience developing interactive installations and media systems he is an expert specializing in the creation of complete communication strategies, based in the development of real-time graphics, projections, and lighting design.

Ginger Leigh

Ginger Leigh (aka ‘Synthestruct’) is an interactive and audiovisual designer who works with sensors and data to create real-time, multi-modal installations and experiences that explore how we connect with and understand the world around us. Sound being a core topic of interest in her work, she explores ways of capturing the ‘personality’ of sounds through the reactive visuals she designs, and inversely uses the generative visuals she creates as inspiration in developing their accompanying soundscapes.


Recently she created two immersive fulldome audiovisual experiences that further explore the relationship between our auditory and visual perceptions in immersive environments, and how these elements are presented and manipulated in real time during live performance.

Guilllaume Bourassa

Guillaume Bourassa is the Co-founder of Creation Ex Nihilo and works in new media creation and specializes in immersive and interactive video, mapping, Tape art and 3D. After several years as technical head of Satosphère at the Society for Arts and Technology, he is now Director of Research and Development at Moment Factory, a world-renowned experiential design firm. He has more than 15 years of experience in digital arts and is constantly renewed thanks to his inexhaustible curiosity.

Harvey Moon

Harvey Moon is a new media artist and a creator of tools and machines. His work centres around the ways technology mediates our perception of the world. Technology has always been used to extend our abilities beyond our human potential. With this as his inspiration, Moon creates custom software, electronics, and kinetic systems to produce new and unique works of art. Harvey Moon received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has exhibited internationally at venues that include the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and the Nuit Blanche Festival in Toronto. He currently lives and works in San Francisco, California.

Hugo Laliberté

Hugo Laliberté is a creative programmer in the field of interactive and experiential digital art. He currently co-directs the Ottomata Montreal Experiential Studio, which specializes in the technical design of interactive installations and immersive works. Laliberté develops his works around the spectator and the capacity to act. With a background in electrical engineering, advanced programming, and music, he began experimenting with interactive media in 2013 and obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal. It was at this time that he co-founded his first artist collective with which he exhibited at the Chromatic Festival, the Society for Arts and Technology, the Livart Gallery, and the Jutra Awards Gala. His work has been featured across Canada, Dubai, and Tokyo.

Ioannis Bardakos

Ioannis (John) Bardakos is an artist, academic, and researcher. He was born in Athens, Greece and has studied mathematics and arts in Greece, Spain, and Paris. Bardakos has been working for more than 20 years with art and technology as an artistic director and a producer. He is currently the academic program director and a senior lecturer in the Bachelor of Arts of Technoetic Arts Program at the DeTao Masters Academy and the Roy Ascott Technoetic Arts Studio for the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. His research and art practice reside in the space between art, technology, mathematics, and philosophy. Bardakos is a PhD candidate between the Athens School of Fine Arts (HyperMedia Lab) and the Paris 8 University (EDESTA) in the INREV Laboratory.

Jacob Martinez

Jacob Martinez is just another 90's kid who grew up on StarCraft and Photoshop. His obsession with computer animation began with Macromedia Flash, where he first learned the concepts of key-framing and building animated UI's. That ultimately led to his fascination with 3D. He studied VFX in school and currently works as a Pipeline TD in the VFX industry.


While researching ways of incorporating 3D and live music visuals he discovered the power of TouchDesigner. He started building 3D scenes and through the API, taught himself Python and how to build simple interfaces to control various effects. Today he is quite familiar with 3D and animation within Touch Designer and loves to experiment with 3D scenes in particular. His current interests are in developing new tools to help facilitate 3D pipelines in TD.

Jacques Hoepffner

Working mainly for stage, theatre, and dance, Jacques Hoepffner produces digital scenographies, videos, and images in collaboration with directors and choreographers. He has been using TouchDesigner for the last two years as his main tool to produce his work. In addition to TD he uses Unity 3D and Processing (when necessary). Hoepffner also teaches digital art in art schools and universities.

Jakob Povel

Jakob Povel is a graphic designer by profession and a nerd at heart. Since discovering a way to integrate real-time graphics into his design concepts, he has left the standard graphic design tools, which he had been using for over a decade, behind.


It all began with a batch script game he made that showed him the power of programming.

From there he took a leap using various techniques that suited the task, from writing macros in AutoHotkey to using TensorFlow to create art. After discovering TouchDesigner while researching how to connect the Kinect he was able to present his VR experience Structure at the TouchDesigner Summit in Berlin in 2018. This was the first TouchDesigner project he made, but definitely will not be the last.

Javier Alvarez Bailen

Javier Álvarez Bailen (aka ‘Light Notes’) is a digital artist, specializing in instruments and interactive installations. His works are guided by his personal style, based on the use of lights, motors, sensors, and videos in real time. He is the director and founder of the MAD Center Audiovisual School and has more than ten years of experience in the national and international audiovisual scene. Recently he has developed ad hoc installations for Ferrán Adriá, Vodafone, Absolut, Cosmocaixa, VICE, among others.

Jean-François Renaud

Jean-François Renaud is currently a professor and the director of the Bachelor program in Interactive Media at the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM) as well as a researcher at Hexagram UQAM. He also teaches at the MSc program in experimental media. He is mainly interested in image creation in the context of real time display, computational process and generative design.

Jeffrey Bryant

Jeffrey Bryant created ecco screen, a San Francisco based experimental art studio, in 2015. ecco screen explores human interaction through the use of light, sound, and technology. The works ecco produce range from interactive installations and immersive experiences, to audiovisual performances, designed to invoke crowd participation.


Since 2015 ecco screen has exhibited at prominent festivals and galleries across the United States, Canada, and Europe including the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Igloofest, ArtFutura Roma, Mutek, Electric Paradise, and Stanford University. The studio has collaborated with established brands including Dolby, Acura, Google, ASAP Rocky, Lululemon, and Hyundai.

Jimmz Zhang

Jimmz Zhang is a 3D visual artist and designer who graduated from the Centre for Digital Media in Vancouver, Canada. His projects contain lighting installation design, interactive art projection, VR experience and game art. Through working on various directions of digital media he explores the unlimited prospect of multiple realities.


By combining his undergraduate degree in environmental design with his interest in digital media he embraces vitality, creativity and innovation. He hopes to convey through his designs and artworks messages about the relationship between human and their surroundings, stimulating sensations from users while evoking their imaginations or emotions attached to a particular environment.

Jonathan Thompson

Jonathan Thompson is a multi-disciplinary artist who specializes in developing real-time performance systems that enable synesthetic audiovisual synchronization and the transformation of musical information from audio to the visible realm of light. While studying Computer Science at the University of Virginia, he started to create audiovisual performances and the complex systems required to run them. During an artist residency with Cyber Illusions in Colombo, Sri Lanka, he created his first warehouse scale solo performance and collaborated with local artists on lighting and visual projects. He currently resides in New York while working on experiential branding projects with corporate clients including Instagram, Facebook, VISA, Sony, and Netflix. He also works on audiovisual projects independently and in collaboration with musical artists such as SQUNTO and Crystal Control.

Josue Ibañez

Cocolab is a Mexico City-based studio consisting of artists in the various fields of digital art. Their work is a collaboration of creators that build unique audiovisual experiences for large audiences. Members of Cocolab develop their own tools in TouchDesigner in order to enrich their audiovisual projects with the purpose of expanding the possibilities of creation.


For the past ten years the studio has been exploring the limits between the possible and the impossible with technology. This experimentation results in powerful installations that engage with audiences through sound and movement.


Cocolab has worked on projects that include the Disarm installation by Pedro Reyes, an automatized musical band made out of weapons that once belonged to the drug cartels of Northern Mexico and White Canvas, a room filled with hundreds of light beams that explores the relation between space and light. Their work has been showcased internationally in locations that include Brazil, Japan, Spain, Italy, UK, USA, and the Netherlands.


Cocolab believes that inspiration is the engine of any form of creation, so their purpose is to inspire people and inspire themselves. To inspire and create is a virtuous cycle of which they want to be an active part.

Karl Skene

Karl Skene is a Toronto-based new media artist specializing in generative visuals, projection mapping, LED design, and interactive installations. With a background in electronic music, he became drawn to VJing and lighting design at underground raves in 2014. Since then, he has diversified his skill-set by collaborating on numerous large scale installations with Young Offenders and Artefact Creative for clients such as Google, RBC, and Absolut.

Keith Lostracco

Keith Lostracco started his career building and running his own music recording studio which gave him a broad range of skills not easily obtained in other situations. He has experience in everything from management to music production to computer graphics animation and programming to carpentry. In today’s world of media production, recording studio’s need to diversify in order to keep up with the changing time’s and technology. Realizing this early on Keith saw that video production and computer graphics programming in relation and reference to music was one of best ways to achieve this.

Ken-ichi Kawamura

Ken-ichi Kawamura is a creative technologist, VJ, and media artist. His recent projects include a variety of techno buddhist ceremonies, audiovisual installations, and panel presentations. He has taught TouchDesigner courses at Tower Creative Academy.

Lucas Morgan

Lucas is the creator of GeoPix, an LED/DMX Pixel Mapping software built in TouchDesigner.


His background is in 3D animation and rendering. He has spent many years building, texturing, and rendering 3D environments in software that includes Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, as well as composting software like Nuke and Composite. In the last five years Morgan shifted his focus to TouchDesigner, building pixel and video mapping projects both large and small for a variety of festivals including Electric Forest and Euphoria, and clients including Imaginex, BRDG, and MOD/OP Films.


His primary focus over the last three years has been around building large scale system architectures in TouchDesigner. His recent large scale projects include GeoPix 0.9, and Crescent Sun with Imaginex (on-going) and for the last year and a half, GeoPix 1.0 which was built from the ground up around a true 3D real-time workflow.

Markus Heckmann

Markus Heckmann was born 1977 in Leipzig, GDR. He attended the University Ilmenau and Bauhaus University Weimar studying Media-technology. He left university in January 2006 to work as a Technical Director with Derivative, the makers of TouchDesigner, in Toronto, Canada.

Mary Franck

Mary Franck is an experiential designer and technologist specializing in immersive media, real-time computer graphics, and creative technology. She has experience as a technical director, creative coder, and graphics programmer for a wide range of immersive experiences, data visualizations, large scale live visual systems, projection-mapping, and interactive installations. Her clients have included some of the world’s leading brands, including Coca-Cola, Google, and Samsung.


Franck earned her BA in Fine and Studio Arts from San Francisco State University and her MA in Architectural Design Research from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. In addition to her work as a designer, Franck exhibits her art work internationally and has taught courses and workshops for Stanford University, Carnegie Mellon University, and Arizona State University.

Mathieu Le Sourd

The digital artist Mathieu Le Sourd (aka ‘Maotik’) is from Montreal and creates immersive multimedia environments and visual systems generated in real time. His works have been presented in various festivals around the world, including the Mutek Festival (Montreal, Mexico City, Barcelona, and Tokyo), Live Cinema in Rio de Janeiro, the Plums Festival in Moscow, the Signal Festival in Prague, the British London Film Institute and, Ars Electronica in Linz.


As the head of the Moment Factory interactive team he realized major projects such as the multimedia experience of the new Los Angeles airport terminal and the visual effects of Nine Inch Nails’ world tour. Le Sourd also produced DROMOS, an immersive multimedia performance that was acclaimed by critics and presented at the Satosphère in Montreal as part of the Mutek Festival.


Mathieu Le Sourd designs his own visual tools, which allows him to generate visuals in real time from algorithms and 3D universes that transform the perception of space. He collaborates with musicians, sound artists, and scientists in pursuit of his quest to find links between art, science, and technology.

Matthew Haber

Matthew Haber is the co-founder and managing director of BeSide Digital, a Brooklyn-based studio that provides design, consulting, and R&D services at the intersection of human-machine interaction. Matthew Ragan

Matthew Ragan, a California native, earned his BA from the California State University in Fresno. After graduation he moved to New England where he worked with Keene State College from 2005 – 2012. His time in New England was spent working for Upward Bound, an educational outreach program,and for the Center for Engagement, Learning, and Teaching as a specialist in educational media creation and distribution. During his time in the northeast he also trained with the New England Center for Circus Arts developing skills in partner acrobatics, static trapeze, and aerial fabric.

In August of 2012 he moved to Arizona to pursue his MFA in the Interdisciplinary Digital Media and Performance program at Arizona State University. Focused on the intersection of digital media and live performance,his artistic practice and research have often explored the complexities of media interactivity in the context of performance. After completing his MFA, Matthew moved to San Francisco to join the Obscura Digital software team. His role at Obscura was largely rooted in the systematic and artistic implementation of creative ideas and concepts. He worked on projects in a wide range of technical and artistic needs, from single user experiences to rendering large distributed real-time synchronous digital environments.

In 2018 Obscura Digital was purchased by The Madison Square Garden Company.Through the transition from Obscura as a private company to being part of Madison Square Garden Ventures he moved into a leadership position as the Director of Software. His personal work continues to explore the intersection of digital media, live performance, and interactive installations on scales both massive and intimate.

Michael McKellar

Michael McKellar is a creative designer, instructor, and technologist. He has been involved with creative computing most of his professional life. He is currently an assistant professor within the School of Creative Design and Technology at the University of Texas in Austin. McKellar’s classes specialize in the methodologies surrounding the design and development of immersive technologies.


Professionally, he has designed, developed, and implemented immersive and interactive commercial work around the world for clients from fields that range from construction to realty and even royalty. His portfolio contains a large number of specialist projection and interactive mapping skills from CAVEs, immersive domes, and human computer interactivity.


He started Programming for People in 2016 to fill a gap in the online tutorial market that was not catering to interactive or creative outlets. It boasts in excess of 10,000 unique viewers each month studying a range of hardware, software, and creative computing implementations.

Ofir Liberman

Ofir Liberman is a Tel Aviv based artist and designer. His work bridges a wide range of disciplines: sound,graphics, coding and electronics, and focus on the relation between the human and technology in the perspective of Spiritual awareness .Ofir is a senior faculty member in Shenkar, and an expert in interaction, generative audio-visual design and game design.

Owen Kirby

Owen Kirby is an audio-visual artist from Montreal, Canada with a background in science, film-making and electro-acoustic music composition. He studied cinema at Collège Champlain and went on to study electroacoustic music composition at Concordia University.

His love of electronic sound and real-time video workflows led him to spend time exploring the audio-synthesis side of TouchDesigner; discovering techniques and workflows which he documents and shares through his YouTube series: Electronic Ape Friends.

A keen biology enthusiast, he is in the process of proving the first partial albino morph of a local species of isopod and has created introductory myrmecology kits which have sold side by side with his TouchDesigner components on his Etsy store: StareIntoTheFire.

Peter Sistrom

Peter Sistrom is a visual artist, designer, and multimedia architect. While studying traditional architecture at Virginia Tech University, he developed design skills while also gaining a deep appreciation for music and visual forms of musical expression. After getting his Bachelor of Architecture in 2006 and following a few years working as an architect, Sistrom travelled to Los Angeles to venture deeper into the world of audiovisual performance and interactive media. Along with his friend, Matt Davis, he created [namethemachine] as an outlet for the duo’s creative endeavors in the interactive audiovisual performance realm.  


From 2013 onward Sistrom and Davis have evolved [namethemachine] into a business that provides bespoke cutting edge performance solutions to like-minded artists and performers. Some of their projects include Bassnectar’s live tour visuals system (U.N.S. or Ultimate Nerd Server), Sound Tribe Sector 9’s 2012 Great Cycle Spectacles tour, numerous interactive performances for Intel, and David Gilmore’s 2016 projection mapped Hollywood Bowl performance.

Philippe Dubost

With the help of light, video, smoke, and mirrors, Philippe Dubost has always tried to balance technical research with his creative endeavors. On top of a very rational generalist engineer education (Nantes) he has spent a lot of time working on personal projects to implement his left brain ideas. He now works on short films and installations, merging the physical and virtual world through light to create the unexpected. He continues to be inspired by the things from his childhood including, music, animation, poetry, skateboarding, and fireworks.


His personal projects have led him to great encounters. First, at MESO studio (Frankfurt) and then at Moment Factory (Montreal), where he is now dedicating his time to reach new emotions and experiences through media and technology. He is on a perpetual quest for inspiration with the help of his friends and teammates, to develop concepts and prototypes that stir his imagination.

Quentin Bleton

Quentin Bleton works at Moment Factory as a Solution Architect. He has used TouchDesigner as a teaching platform, mostly for shaders. He is interested in using shaders to bypass traditional performance bottlenecks in TouchDesigner and finding creative, out of the box applications for shaders. He is particularly interested in the versatility of geometry shaders.

Richard Burns

Richard Burns is an interactive developer specializing in the field of projection mapping. Previously he worked at ProjectionArtworks in London, UK. He has developed diverse projects that include car simulators, interactive ping pong tables, projection mapping, and tracking systems. In his spare time he performs VJ sets at various locations in the UK and teaches TouchDesigner. He recently moved to Tokyo.

Ronen Tanchum

Ronen Tanchum is an artist and technologist working at the intersection of art, technology, and interaction. His work focuses on researching human perception in relation to art and technology. He conducts social experiments through his art pieces, creating a visual dialogue around the subject of digital art and its interventions within culture. He embraces the use of technology and mixes media art forms. He is the founder of Phenomena Labs, Artist & Technologies.

Roy Gerritsen

Roy Gerritsen (1980) is founder and creative director of Boompje studio.  A small design boutique build on passion and focused on music-related visuals.


After graduating (with honors) from the Utrecht school of arts (HKU), Roy devoted his time to music visualization. First through the medium of print (doing design work for cd covers, party flyers and vinyl sleeves) and slowly moving into the more complex medium of animation, motion graphics and creative coding.


He is driven by his passion to innovate and determined to create a synergy between design and technology. Roy is co-founder of the newly formed Amsterdam based, yfx lab and currently is focusing on building generative design systems within TouchDesigner.

Ruokun Chen

Ruokun Chen is the founder and CEO of Digital FUN (creative studio), as well as the President of the Chinese TouchDesigner Community. His studio has taken part in multiple large-scale projects including the Volkswagen CC Launch (Shanghai), the Audi A8L Launch (Hainan), the Lululemon “1000 People Yoga” event (Beijing), and the performance of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time (Vancouver). He has experience as a technical developer and a special effects designer.


In December 2018, Digital FUN organized the first TouchDesigner forum in Shanghai, which lasted seven days and included Ben Viogt, as well as many artists from Japan, Greece, and Russia. More than 7000 people attended the event.

Rémi Lapierre

Rémi Lapierre began his career as an analyst programmer but quickly decided to pursue a career in the arts instead. He first studied comic books at University of Québec in Outaouais and received an MFA at NAD -UQAC, University of Québec at Chicoutimi.


His multi-disciplinary background allowed him to simultaneously pursue software design and the expressive logic of digital creation. Over the past five years he has worked with different artists and businesses to build a variety of projects, including interactive live shows in the dome of the Société des Arts Technologique de Montréal, interactive virtual singer and virtual reality pipeline tools for movie studios. These projects have been achieved largely using TouchDesigner and Unreal Engine.

Shandor Chury

Shandor Chury was born in the Soviet Union and brought up in Belarus (Vitebsk and Minsk) in the general art school, specializing in piano. He has been deeply involved in music, as a classical piano performer, orchestrator and mixing engineer for long time and in various ways.

 

Coming to France to finish his Master Degree (languages,international relations, maths, statistical analysis) he decided to come back to his true love – stage, performance – but in a different way. He created the brand OVVO to be able to do everything he wanted: music, lighting, stage design, programming, technical direction.

 

Working for more than 7 years in Technical Directions of big events and shows (Beyoncé, P!nk, Katy Perry…) in Europe, he then reoriented the company to content creation and live art entertainment, involving large scale mappings, show content, data visualization installations. It was (and still is)a unique opportunities to combine all of his skills into 1. TouchDesigner became his best partner in crime since then.

Simon Alexander-Adams

Simon Alexander-Adams is a multimedia artist working within the intersection of music, visual art, and technology. He directs multimedia performances that connect sonic, visual, and kinetic forms, creates interactive installation art, designs new interfaces for musical expression, and produces generative animations and audiovisual works. His work has been presented at international festivals, including Electric Forest, the Ann Arbor Film Festival, and the 2018 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture Shenzhen.


Alexander-Adams has also composed music for short films, theatrical, and dance performances, and performs regularly with the art-rock band saajtak, which has performed at Sonic Circuits (D.C.), Strange Beautiful Music (Detroit), and has shared the stage with musical artists such as Xiu Xiu, Gaelynn Lea, Vicky Chow, New Music Detroit, Laurie Amat, Alan Licht, and more. He received an MA in Media Arts in 2015 from the University of Michigan, School of Music, Theatre & Dance.

Stanislav Glazov

Stanislav Glazov is a Russian-born visual artist, musician, and photographer based in Berlin. He is the founder of the interdisciplinary art and design studio Licht.Pfad.


For over 15 years he has worked in the fields of light and visual art. Taking on visual design, animation, video production, software development, and 3D mapping, Glazov produces immersive installations from the ground up.  Driven by his audiovisual expertise and a perpetual desire to create unforgettable experiences that inspire strong emotional responses, he has developed his own algorithms, synchronizing sound with cinematic visuals and abstract digital shapes.


His large-scale spatial visual art installations and live performances have been presented at countless events and festivals around the world, including Berlin Atonal, Mutek Montreal, Ars Electronica (Linz), Unsound Festival (Krakow), Raster-Noton night in Berghain, Barbican London, Resonance Festival (Tokyo), Mira Festival (Barcelona), Festival of Lights (Lyone), Telefonica (Peru), and Lowry Theater (Manchester).


As a head of the interactive media laboratory Licht.Pfad he has realized numerous projects and multi-artist collaborations. Since 2001 Glazov has been actively engaged in educational projects focused on audiovisual technologies. He regularly holds online and offline courses on TouchDesigner, Maya, and Houdini as well as various music production workshops.

Stefan Kraus

The work of Berlin-based VJ artist and director Stefan Kraus (aka ‘Studio MXZEHN’) explores the fusion of media, space, and performance. Emerging from East Germany's vivid electronic music scene, his work has moved beyond the experimental club environment and into the world of art exhibitions, media festivals, and theatre performances across Europe. Studio MXZEHN’s visuals are not a collage of prefabricated loops but the live performance of a custom-built, generative visual instrument.

Parallel to his artistic career Kraus has been teaching interaction design at the Bauhaus-University in Weimar where he co-founded the Genius Loci Weimar Festival, an annual competition for architectural projection mapping. Today, more than ever, Kraus is driven by the idea of the gesamtkunstwerk - an artistic vision that completely immerses the audience.

Ted Pallas

Real-time VFX TD and xR Scenography Designer based out of NYC. Recent collaborators include Satore Studio, Integrated Visions, All Of It Now, Primary Presents, Bounce Chicago, Aathee Records and CDM.

Tim Gerritsen

Tim Gerritsen (1982) has been flipping bits ever since he was able to touch a keyboard. Starting on the Commodore 64 in the late 80s, his interest grew from computer security and webdevelopment to artificial intelligence and creative programming.

As a creative coder, Tim helped realizing several installations for clients like Coca-cola, Philips, T-mobile, Volvo and BMW.

He's the co-founder of the newly formed Dutch studio yfx lab and is mainly focussing on the development of TouchDesigner c++ plugins, GLSL shaders and system architecture.
Tim is also actively involved in the development of TDNeuron, an opensource machine learning framework purely written in TouchDesigner using GLSL.

Tim Gerritsen currently lives in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Tim Greiser

Tim Greiser runs a software consulting business based in Portland, Oregon. He is a multi-disciplinary artist and open source enthusiast. He is the co-creator of Laser Juice, the author of the Ether Dream drivers for Go, and a longtime TouchDesigner user. He is currently exploring XR formats and performing with the fulldome live A/V act sin(Cronus).

Tomasz Miśkiewicz

Tomasz Miśkiewicz works as a TouchDesigner developer, system designer, and team leader. He is passionate about building interactive, real-time multimedia systems and installations. His projects include television, theatre, concerts and commercial events. For five years he has taught programing for artists with TouchDesigner at the New Media Arts Multimedia Studio at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw, Poland.

Ulysses Popple

Ulysses Popple is a live visual artist who uses real-time coding to make projections. He's a member of livecode.nyc, a collective of musicians and artists who use code in their live performances. Popple specializes in solo or small team development for responsive, interaction-based experiences. He is an expert in selecting the most appropriate tools for the task and delivers projects within strict timeframes. His previous clients include, Saatchi & Saatchi, SAP, HBO, and the NBA. Based in New York City, his personal projects have been installed in New York City, Los Angeles, and New Orleans.

VanTa

VanTa is an experienced developer, with a strong focus in the field of computer graphics.

In his creations, he always tries to find a balance between geometry, abstraction, and chaos.

At the age of eight he left home and founded his own aerospace startup with very little venture capital, that operated from his parents’ porch.


With a background in environmental science, his work revolves around the intersection between art, science, and technology. He loves when digital elements align with the real world; either in augmented reality overlays, projection mapping on architectural landmarks, or pixels floating in thin air. VanTa also performs as a VJ and musician in different locations and festivals around the world. When he finds the time, he teaches coding to designers and artists.

Vincent Houze

Vincent Houzé uses modern computer graphics techniques to create interactive art, performances, and large-scale multimedia installations. His practice centres on dynamic simulations and systems in which simple rules give rise to complexity, richness, and realistic motion.

Houzé was born and raised in Paris, where he studied computer science and graphic design. Before embracing interactive art he worked in Paris and London as a visual effects designer for films, commercials, and video games. He now lives and works in New York City, where he was previously a member at NEW INC, the New Museum incubator for art and technology. Houzé’s recent work has been exhibited in the first two editions of the Day for Night Festival in Houston at Google I/O 2017, La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris, the Société des Arts Technologiques in Montreal, and at the Times Art Museum in Beijing. His works has also been featured in several online magazines such as Creators and Creative Applications.

Wieland Hilker

Born in Potsdam, Germany, Wieland Hilker (aka ‘Jonas Schmitt’) at one time found himself looking for an easy to use, free video playback software. After brushing off TouchDesigner, believing it to be too complicated, he kept returning to the platform, and finally realized the potential it holds. Nowadays he uses TouchDesigner as a base for MediaServer setups in a theatre-environment to combine videoplayback and interactive elements. After moving to Berlin, he was drawn to the fields of electronic music and from there Belka was born bringing a fast performance tool built on the same freedom and modularity already used in theatre setups.

Yan Breuleux

Yan Breuleux is a professor at NAD-UQAC (École des arts numériques, de l'animation et du design à Montréal). He’s also a researcher and practitioner in the field of visual music for immersive display. For 20 years, he has collaborated with musicians and composers to create multi-screen, panoramic, architectural projections and fulldome pieces.

Yan Kalnberzin

Yan Kalnberzin is a video and media artist who graduated from the Moscow Institute of Aviation Technology. He was an active artist in Moscow's underground in the 2000’s as part of the musical group PBOYUL. One of the pioneers of stop-motion animation in Moscow, Kalnberzin created the stop-motion clip "sea lilies" for the band, Kids of Picasso. Kalnberzin was also one of the founders of the company Russian Visual Artists and has participated in many Russian and international festivals including, HYPE, MIGZ, PlumsFest, Abracadabra, and Worldtronic.

Kalnberzin is the creator of video and special effects for numerous theatre performances including Agate Returns Home, The Golden Cockerel, A Doll's House, and many others. He participated in the Moscow festival Circle of Light in 2011 mapping the festival's primary facade, the Hotel Moscow. He has organized educational events in Moscow using TouchDesigner.

Yuki Narumi

Yuki Narumi is a TouchDesigner Study Weekend organizer and coordinates additional TouchDesigner events. TouchDesigner Study Weekend is the biggest and most frequently offered TouchDesigner workshop in Japan. Beginning in April 2018, TDSW provides instruction on several topics for a range of student levels.

Zoe Sandoval

Zoe is a Mexican-Venezuelan experience designer, filmmaker and producer who specializes in interactive installations and documentary production. Their work spans live entertainment, performance, immersive experiences, AR/XR/MR and the development of emerging technologies.

Previously, Zoe worked as a project manager & creative producer at the UCLA Center for Research in Engineering, Media and Performance (REMAP). At REMAP,Zoe produced and designed several interactive storytelling experiences,including the Google-funded Future of Storytelling effort and local initiatives with California State Parks. 

Zoe received their MFA from UC Santa Cruz in the Digital Arts + New Media program, and a BA in Film, Television & Digital Media from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
