Rémi Lapierre began his career as an analyst programmer but quickly decided to pursue a career in the arts instead. He first studied comic books at University of Québec in Outaouais and received an MFA at NAD -UQAC, University of Québec at Chicoutimi.
His multi-disciplinary background allowed him to simultaneously pursue software design and the expressive logic of digital creation. Over the past five years he has worked with different artists and businesses to build a variety of projects, including interactive live shows in the dome of the Société des Arts Technologique de Montréal, interactive virtual singer and virtual reality pipeline tools for movie studios. These projects have been achieved largely using TouchDesigner and Unreal Engine.
