Jakob Povel is a graphic designer by profession and a nerd at heart. Since discovering a way to integrate real-time graphics into his design concepts, he has left the standard graphic design tools, which he had been using for over a decade, behind.
It all began with a batch script game he made that showed him the power of programming.
From there he took a leap using various techniques that suited the task, from writing macros in AutoHotkey to using TensorFlow to create art. After discovering TouchDesigner while researching how to connect the Kinect he was able to present his VR experience Structure at the TouchDesigner Summit in Berlin in 2018. This was the first TouchDesigner project he made, but definitely will not be the last.
